Editing a Wikigit page is about as involved as editing a document. Open a page, click Edit, change what you want, and save. Nothing to install, nothing to learn first — if you can write an email, you can edit a wiki.
Whether it appears at once or waits for a quick review depends on the page and on your standing — that’s the editing model, and it’s nothing you have to think about while writing. Either way your work is saved and credited to you.
The editor keeps a draft in your browser automatically. Close the tab, lose your connection, come back tomorrow — the unfinished edit is waiting. You can also save named drafts to set a piece of work aside and pick it up later.
On a long page, use the [edit] link beside a heading to edit just that section. It keeps you focused on the part you’re changing and loads less at once, which is a real help on a phone or for a quick fix.
Use New page to start one: give it a name, optionally pick a starting layout — blank, a basic article, or a how-to — and write. The other common way is to follow a red link, which offers to create the page it points at. Writing the links first and filling in the pages they want is one of the most natural ways a wiki grows.
Nothing is ever truly lost, because every page keeps its full history.
An undo is just another saved version, so going back never costs you the record of what happened.
